Victory is well-received and -deserved after hard work, determination, and quite often a very long time. The journey doesn’t always have to be physical -- it can be emotional and political. These two events are quite different, but can often lead you to the same or similar finish line.
This 2 day annual event will take you from one fort to the other. Hike over 54 km over two days (or just join in on the one) and experience the trek many have taken between the two forts. With approximately 27 km each day, you’ll be with a group, and reach a couple checkpoints where you can snack, and rest. If you don’t feel like continue, they’ll gladly drive you back to your car. The hike happens on April 6 and 7, with everyone meeting at Kingsbridge Park 6:45 AM sharp! Note that tickets are $40 for the two days or $30 for just the one. So why not take a deal and get active for two days. The trails are mostly paved and mostly flat. The trail is self-guided and you should be dressed for the weather and bring your own water.
The month of March is Women’s History Month where we celebrate all the wins and contributions from influential women in history. We do that by celebrating the women of today as well. Join the Greate Niagara Chamber of Commerce as they present this year’s 2019 International Women’s Day Award on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Fallsview Casino Resort (Grand Ballroom). Tickets are from $70 to $94, which includes a hot lunch, silent auction, networking, and a complimentary parking voucher.
And since you’re in Niagara Falls, wouldn’t it be nice to stay right next to the powerful sound of the rushing water? The Rodeway Inn Fallsview is the perfect place to get to where you are going during the day only to return to your spacious hotel room to enjoy the sun setting over the falls.
